PLAYWRIGHT & DIRECTOR

Nicole Marie's debut as playwright and director came in 2018. It performed to a sold out theatre every night, and was awarded the "Hollywood Encore! Producers Award" during the Fringe Awards Ceremony.  You can read audience reviews here.

July 2021 marked the premiere of her first Spanish language comedy.  "Hay Gato Encerrado", one of five winners of the DECA International Playwriting Competition, performed under the show umbrella of "Ríete en Cuatro Tiempos" in Panama City's Teatro Pacific to impressive audience and critic reviews, earning a nomination for Panama's theatre awards "Premios Escena" in the "Best Original Play" and "Best Original Comedy" categories in May 2022.

DILLMAN, CON 'D'

For her thesis project as a finishing student in Escuela SUR's Master's in Fine Arts, Nicole Marie combined art history, fiction, and several creative disciplines to write the script of Dillman, con 'D', a play that brings the theatre to art institutions, in this case, Madrid's Círculo de Bellas Artes.  For the support of her thesis, Nicole Marie guided the audience through a surreal visit to each floor of the iconic building, telling stories about how the Círculo de Bellas Artes holds secrets of Spanish monarchies, the art world's most prominent figures, the tragedies that took place there during the Spanish Civil War, and how her name ended up in the middle of the quintessential institution's history.
